A minute ago, it was Y2K, and I had a bunch of paid assignments to write about the end of the digital world as we knew it. It never happened. Now, it's a freakin' quarter of a century later, and I'm still putting money in the bank by way of my keyboard. What a pleasure! Contingent Magazine wants pitches for reviews of history exhibits, podcasts, films, etc., and pays $250 for 1,000-1,500 word reviews. Learn how to pitch them.

Book XI: A Journal of Literary Philosophy is open to submissions of personal essays, memoir, fiction, sci-fi, humor, and poetry with philosophical themes and pays $200 for 1,000-5,000 words of prose; $50 per poem. Submit here.
